Flula Borg was born and raised in Erlangen, Germany, where he started his performance career as a traditional Bavarian Schuhplattler dancer. He quickly exhausted the local market and relocated to Hollywood, CA to continue a musical path and work as a DJ. Flula turned to YouTube to share his original songs and creative, live remixes, quickly amassing over 780K subscribers and earning recognition from Variety and The Hollywood Reporter as top comedian talent, and earning the Best Comedy Channel award at the Streamys in 2015. Borg’s degree in engineering helped him land his first recurring national TV appearance on Spike TV’s “Auction Hunters” as their resident German Jukebox Repairman. During his expansion into TV and film, Flula grew his YouTube channel by exploring idioms, conducting celebrity interviews, launching his flagship AutoTunes series (featuring live covers of popular Tunes in his Auto), and much more. His videos have racked up over 75 million views to date and garnered him TV appearances on The Today Show, Last Call With Carson Daly, and ESPN SportsCenter, among others. His video “Jennifer Is A Party Pooper” has been watched over 7.5 million times. In late 2015, Flula dropped his EP I Want To Touch You, which includes the hit singles “Booty GPS”, featuring Mamrie Hart, and “Clouds,” featuring Miranda Sings/Colleen Ballinger Evans. His second album, animal-themed and naturally called The Animalbum, dropped in spring of 2016. Flula is another one of Hollywood’s triple threats, singing, interpreting for Panda bears at the U.N. and now acting, including his work as the male lead of Universal Pictures’ Pitch Perfect 2, appearing in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip and winning the 2016 Slamdance Festival for a feature film he co-wrote and stars in called BuddyMoon, which released this summer in partnership with Gravitas. Small screen credits include NBC’s “Grimm”, TVLand’s “Younger” and the never-before-seen FOX pilot, “So You Don’t Think You Can Dance”. Audiences can see Flula live on his Sassi Time with Flula Tour, currently hitting the Western United States. He lives in Los Angeles and is deathly scared of pet monkeys.
